Housecall Pro alternatives in 2026: who each one fits, with prices
Housecall Pro is a popular all-round tool for home-service pros, and for many small teams it does the job well. Owners usually start looking at alternatives for one of three reasons: the plan they need includes fewer users than their crew, the features they want are sold as add-ons, or they have outgrown it and need deeper tools for their trade.
This guide covers nine alternatives, what each one charges and the kind of business it suits. Every price was checked on the vendor's own pricing page in November 2026. Where a vendor does not publish prices, we say so instead of guessing. We make ServFlo, and it is on this list. We've tried to be fair to everyone, including where Housecall Pro or another tool is the better fit.
Key takeaways
- Housecall Pro's plans include 1, 5 or 8 users. Only Max lists a price for extra users ($35/month each), and add-ons such as Websites, Campaigns, CSR AI and Payroll are priced separately.
- Jobber, Service Fusion, Kickserv, GorillaDesk and ServFlo publish their prices. ServiceTitan, Workiz, FieldEdge and FieldPulse quote after a sales conversation.
- Service Fusion includes unlimited users; GorillaDesk prices per route with unlimited users; ServFlo never counts technicians and counts only office users.
- If you want a big, well-known ecosystem with payroll and accounting add-ons from one company, Housecall Pro is still a strong choice.
- Work out the price for your own headcount on each tool. The worked example below shows how much the answer can move.
What does Housecall Pro cost?
As of November 2026, Housecall Pro's monthly prices are Basic $79/month (1 user), Essentials $189/month (5 users) and Max $329/month (8 users, then $35/month per additional user). Billed annually, they are $59, $149 and $299 a month. The free trial is 14 days of Max with no credit card.
The page also lists add-ons without prices: CSR AI, Sales Proposal Tool, Pipeline, Payroll, Accounting, Business Coaching, Voice, Campaigns, vehicle GPS and dashcams, Tap to Pay and Websites. Source: Housecall Pro pricing.

What would a 6-technician team pay on each tool?
Here is a worked example, using published monthly prices as of November 2026: a business with 6 technicians and 2 office staff, 8 people in all, each technician running their own schedule. On Housecall Pro that team needs Max at $329/month, because Essentials includes 5 users and lists no extra-user price. The same team is $129/month on ServFlo Connect or $249/month on ServFlo Grow.
| Software | Plan that fits 6 techs + 2 office | Monthly price |
|---|---|---|
| Housecall Pro | Max (8 users) | $329 |
| ServFlo | Connect (2 office users, techs free) or Grow | $129 or $249 |
| Kickserv | Run (10 users) | $119 |
| Service Fusion | Starter (unlimited users) | $245 |
| GorillaDesk | Pro, 6 routes ($99 + 5 × $50) | $349 |
This is an example, not a quote. Plans differ in features, so the cheapest line is not automatically the best value. Kickserv is lowest here, but its pricing page doesn't list online booking, memberships or a website; ServFlo Connect adds online booking, reminders and QuickBooks Online or Xero, while memberships, a website and Flo, the AI assistant, start on Grow. Jobber publishes prices for 1, 5, 10 and 15 users on each plan, so check its page for your exact headcount.
The alternatives in detail
ServFlo
Price: Core $49/month, Connect $129, Grow $249, Pro $449, as of November 2026. How it counts people: technicians are unlimited and free on every plan; plans include 1, 2, 3 or 5 office users, then $35/month per extra office user.
Where Housecall Pro sells a website and campaigns as add-ons, ServFlo includes an AI-drafted website, Google reviews, memberships and campaigns on Grow. Every plan has scheduling and dispatch, good/better/best quotes, invoices and payments and the offline ServFlo Tech app. Flo, the AI assistant, makes changes you approve, and on Pro you can run ServFlo from your own ChatGPT or Claude. The phone system ($49/month) and AI receptionist ($99/month) are add-ons on any plan.
Where Housecall Pro is stronger: job costing on its cheapest plan (ServFlo has it on Pro), and payroll and accounting services from the same company. See ServFlo vs Housecall Pro.
Jobber
Price: Core $49/month (1 user), Connect from $139/month, Grow from $199/month and Plus from $499/month (5 users), paying monthly with no commitment. Higher user counts cost more on each plan, and the page lists extra users at $29/month each. Source: Jobber pricing.
Jobber is the closest like-for-like alternative: friendly, well known and strong for small crews in lawn care, cleaning and handyman work. Like Housecall Pro, it counts everyone who logs in. See ServFlo vs Jobber.
Service Fusion
Price: Starter $245/month, Plus $382/month, Pro $627/month on monthly billing; $208, $325 and $533 a month billed annually. Every plan includes unlimited users. Source: Service Fusion pricing.
The higher starting price buys freedom from user counts, which helps a business with a large office. Job costing and inventory start on Plus. See ServFlo vs Service Fusion.
Kickserv
Price: Start $60/month (5 users), Run $119/month (10 users), Scale $199/month (20 users), with 20% off for annual billing. Source: Kickserv pricing.

FieldPulse
Price: not published; quote from sales. Its pricing page says it is seat-based, with a custom quote. Source: FieldPulse pricing.
FieldPulse includes Maverick, its AI assistant, on every plan, plus maintenance agreements and an offline app. A fit for owners who want a guided, sales-led setup. See ServFlo vs FieldPulse.
Is there a Housecall Pro alternative that doesn't charge per user?
Yes. As of November 2026, Service Fusion includes unlimited users on every plan from $245 a month, and GorillaDesk includes unlimited users but charges per route. ServFlo never charges for technicians: its plans count only office users (1 to 5 included, then $35 a month each), so adding technicians doesn't change the bill.
Which one is cheapest depends on your mix. A business with many office staff and few technicians may pay less on Service Fusion. A business with a small office and a growing field team usually pays less on ServFlo.
How do you choose the right Housecall Pro alternative?
Write down what you actually use in Housecall Pro today and which add-ons you pay for, then price that same setup on each alternative for your headcount. Then run a real week of jobs through a trial before you decide.
- List your add-ons. Websites, campaigns, AI call answering and payroll are separate on Housecall Pro. Check whether each alternative includes them, sells them or leaves them out.
- Count people two ways. Technicians and office staff. Different tools charge for different ones.
- Check your must-haves. For HVAC and plumbing, memberships and good/better/best quotes. For pest and lawn, recurring routes.
- Try the tech app. Have a technician use it on real jobs, including somewhere with weak signal.
- Ask about the move. Which records import, how balances come across and what happens to saved cards.
Switching from Housecall Pro
Export your customers, price book, jobs and invoices as spreadsheets before you cancel. Saved cards usually can't move between payment processors, so plan to send customers a link to add theirs again. Pick a quiet week, run both systems for a few days and switch your online booking link last.
ServFlo imports Housecall Pro exports directly: you upload the files, AI maps the columns, and you check a preview before anything is saved, with undo for 7 days. See Import from another tool, or compare every option side by side on our alternatives page.
The best Housecall Pro alternative is the one that fits your crew today and still makes sense when you've added a few more trucks. If you're growing your field team and want the website, memberships and an AI assistant in one plan, ServFlo's free 14-day trial lets you try it on your own jobs.
