Weather-aware scheduling

See the rain coming before the crew does

ServFlo checks every outdoor visit against the forecast at the property, alerts the office when it turns bad, and moves the visit to a clear day with a text to the customer.

The short answer

What is weather-aware scheduling?

Weather-aware scheduling checks outdoor jobs against the forecast so you can move them before the crew drives out. ServFlo judges each outdoor visit hour by hour against your rain, wind and temperature limits using US National Weather Service forecasts, alerts the office when it turns bad, and suggests clear days. It's on the Pro ($449 a month) plan; marking work as outdoor is free on every plan.

Forecast for each visit

Hour by hour at the property, judged Good, Watch or Bad weather.

Alerts that find you

The office is told in the app and by email when a booked visit's forecast turns bad.

Move it in one step

Pick a suggested clear day, and ServFlo texts the customer the new time.

Know which visits are at risk

Mark which service types are outdoor work and set their limits. ServFlo checks every forecast hour each visit covers.

  • Default limits: 50% chance of rain and 25 mph wind; thunderstorms and snow always count as bad
  • Optional minimum and maximum temperatures per service type
  • Likely outdoor work is marked for you from your trade and service names
  • Override it on any job: always check, or never check
  • Forecasts from the US National Weather Service, about 7 days ahead
  • Weather icons on the calendar and dispatch board, and the verdict in the tech app, even offline

Questions, answered

Something else on your mind? Ask us and a person will answer.

Where does the weather forecast come from?

The US National Weather Service, at each property's location. Forecasts reach about 7 days ahead; a visit further out shows No forecast yet until it's in range.

Will ServFlo reschedule jobs automatically when it rains?

No. A person always confirms. ServFlo alerts the office and suggests the next clear days; you pick one, and it moves the visit and can text the customer.

Can I set my own rain and wind limits?

Yes. Each outdoor service type can have its own maximum rain chance, maximum wind, and minimum and maximum temperature. Blank boxes use the defaults: 50% rain, 25 mph wind and no temperature limits.

Which trades is weather-aware scheduling for?

Any outdoor work that depends on the weather, such as roofing, lawn care, painting, pressure washing, gutters and decks. Indoor work is never checked.

Do technicians see the forecast?

Yes. The ServFlo Tech app shows the verdict on outdoor jobs, the hours during the visit and the next few days, and keeps the last forecast for offline use. Technicians can't move visits for the weather; the office does.

Which plan includes weather-aware scheduling?

Forecasts, alerts and moving visits for the weather are on the Pro plan. Marking service types and jobs as outdoor work is free on every plan.
