Jobs & scheduling
How work comes in, gets booked as jobs and visits, and reaches your technicians.
This section covers everything between "a customer needs something" and "the work is done": requests, jobs, visits, the schedule, the dispatch board, and the forms, photos and signatures your team collects on site.
Key ideas
- Request — work someone has asked for, before you quote it or book it. Requests come from your online booking page, the customer portal, technicians in the field, and calls you log yourself. You'll find them under Sales → Requests.
- Job — the work you've agreed to do for a customer at a property, with a service, a price and a status. Jobs live under Work → Jobs.
- Visit — one trip to do a job. Most jobs have one visit, but a two-day install or a return trip for parts can have several. Each visit has its own date, time and crew (one or more technicians, with one lead).
- Schedule — the Schedule group in the sidebar holds Calendar (the week at a glance), Dispatch (the drag-and-drop board) and, on Pro, Capacity.
A job always follows its next open visit: the date, technician and status you see on the job come from that visit. When the last open visit is completed, the job is completed.
