Export to your payroll service
Download a pay period as a file for Gusto, ADP, Paychex Flex, QuickBooks Payroll or a spreadsheet.
ServFlo doesn't pay people itself. Download the pay period's figures and import them into your payroll service.
Open the pay run
In the left menu, under Team, click Payroll, and choose the Pay period.
Choose the payroll service
Pick a Payroll service: Gusto, ADP, Paychex Flex, QuickBooks Payroll or CSV (every figure). Your default service is already chosen.
Download
Click Download. ServFlo tells you how many people are in the file, and names anyone missing an id for that service.
Import it into your payroll service
Upload the file in your payroll service and check its preview before you run payroll.
What each file holds
| Service | What's in it | Where to upload it |
|---|---|---|
| Gusto | One row per employee: regular, overtime and double-overtime hours, commission, tips and reimbursement | Gusto's Run payroll → Import hours |
| ADP | ADP paydata import: hours rows, plus a row for each extra earning (commission, tips, reimbursement). Uses your ADP company code. | ADP Workforce Now or RUN paydata import |
| Paychex Flex | One row per pay component (hourly, overtime, double time, commission, tips, reimbursement). The rate is left blank so Paychex uses each worker's rate. | Paychex Flex payroll import |
| QuickBooks Payroll | Employee, pay period, hours, commission, tips and reimbursement | Entering hours in QuickBooks Payroll |
| CSV (every figure) | Everything on the pay run: rates, every kind of hours, wages, commission, tips, gross and total | Any spreadsheet |
- People with nothing to pay are left out.
- Hours are decimals with two places; money is dollars and cents.
- Salaried people carry no hours in the service files (your service pays their salary), only extra earnings.
Payroll services let you rename columns and earning codes. Check the first file against your service's import preview, and set up matching earning codes if yours differ.
Missing ids? Add them on the People and pay rates tab, then download again. See Pay rates and payroll ids.
