Send and manage campaigns
Send a campaign now, at a set time or at each customer's local time, then pause, resume, cancel or duplicate it.
Choose when it goes out
Under When it goes out, pick:
- Send now.
- At a date and time, in your business's timezone.
- Each customer's local time: the same time of day where each customer lives (from their state).
Quiet hours are respected: anything due during them waits until they end. Set the Attribution window (days) for results (30 days unless you change it) and leave Track links on to tag links with campaign tags.
Sending or scheduling texts and emails your customers, and texts count toward your monthly allowance (past it, each segment is billed). Send yourself a test first.
Then click Send now or Schedule and confirm. The confirmation shows how many customers it goes to.
A campaign's audience is fixed when it starts. Customers added later don't get it. Each customer gets it at most once per channel.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Being written |
| Scheduled | Waiting for its time |
| Sending | Going out now; large audiences go out in batches |
| Paused | Nothing new goes out until you resume |
| Sent | Finished |
| Cancelled | Stopped; nobody else gets it |
Manage a campaign
Open it from Engage → Campaigns:
- Edit: only a draft or scheduled campaign. Saving a change to a scheduled campaign turns it back into a draft; send or schedule it again afterwards.
- Pause: messages not yet handed to the email or text provider are held. Resume continues; nobody gets it twice.
- Cancel campaign: customers who haven't received it yet never will. Results so far are kept. This can't be undone.
- Duplicate: makes a draft copy, for example to send a new version.
- Delete: its messages stay in the message log. A sent campaign can't be edited.
Before you go live
To reach customers, you need an email provider and texting set up in Settings → Messaging, and your texting registration should list marketing. Without a provider, messages are logged in test mode and nothing reaches customers. See Messaging.
