Start a project
Mark a job as a project, pick a template, and get its phases and starting budget.
Any job can become a project. Create the job first (or convert an approved quote to a job), then:
Open the job
On the job page, find the Project panel and click Make it a project. You can also click New project on the Projects page and pick the job there.
Pick a template and a start date
Choose a template, such as Kitchen remodel or Deck build, and the start date. ServFlo lays the template's phases end to end on your working days, each one starting after the one before.
Check the contract and budget
The contract starts from the job's approved quote (or its progress billing, or its price). If the quote had costs on its lines, the budget starts from them; otherwise the template's budget lines start at $0 for you to fill in.
Templates come from your trade: remodeling, general contractor and home builder, and roofing each have their own, and every business gets a standard one. Edit them in Settings → Projects.
To stop a project, set its status to Canceled. Its records stay on file.
