The match check
Compare your old system's totals with what ServFlo saved, see why anything differs, download it and mark it checked.
The match check proves your import matches your old system. It comes with every preview and again after the import, when ServFlo reads back what it actually saved.
What it compares
Three columns: Your files, ServFlo and the Difference, for:
- Customers.
- Money: open invoices (how many and how much is owed), total owed (A/R), payments, and any opening-balance payments ServFlo added so balances match.
- By status: quotes, jobs and memberships by status.
- Pricebook items.
- Rows per file type: rows read, and how many became new, updated, kept, skipped or failed records.
Only differences show at first; click Show all checks to see every line.
Why something differs
Every difference has its reason and the rows behind it, for example:
- duplicate rows merged into the first (a file uploaded twice);
- rows that belong to another record, such as more lines of an invoice or another property of a customer;
- rows skipped for an error, such as a job whose customer isn't in your files;
- refunds and payments not on an invoice, which aren't imported (balances cover them);
- records edited in ServFlo since an earlier import, kept as they are.
A difference with no reason is shown in red and listed at the top of the page: look at it before you go on.
