Imports

What gets imported

What the import brings in, how money, dates and numbers are handled, and what isn't copied.

What comes across

Customers (with contacts, billing and service addresses, tags, lead source, notes and custom fields), properties, pricebook items and categories, equipment and vehicles (Pro), membership plans and memberships (Grow and Pro), quotes (ServiceTitan estimates of one job become good, better and best options), jobs and visits, invoices with their lines, payments and notes.

Money and balances

  • Tax is kept as it was charged; nothing is recalculated.
  • An invoice's balance is its total less imported payments. Where your export has only a balance, ServFlo adds an Opening balance (imported) payment or invoice so balances match your old system.
  • Payments on account, deposits without an invoice and refunds aren't imported: the balances cover them.

Dates and numbers

  • Records keep their original dates, so reports and AR aging show history when it happened, not on import day.
  • Quotes, jobs and invoices keep their old numbers (#1043 becomes INV-1043). If a number is already taken, ServFlo gives a new one and warns you.

Past work is read-only

Completed and cancelled jobs and paid and cancelled invoices that you import can't be edited, deleted or refunded in ServFlo. Undo still removes them.

What isn't copied

  • Saved cards. Send update-card links at cutover.
  • Text consent. ServFlo asks customers for consent itself.
  • Technicians and service types aren't created; they're matched by name. Unknown names are reported and the work is left unassigned.
  • Membership included visits. Plans are created by name without visits: check each plan's price, visits and discounts after importing. Imported memberships are never back-billed.
  • Attachments and photos.

Imported properties aren't placed on the map during the import. They get their map location the next time they're edited.
