AI credits
How many AI credits each plan includes, what uses them, what happens when they run out, and how to buy more.
Everything AI does in ServFlo (Flo, report writing, website and campaign drafts, review replies, call summaries, the AI receptionist and website chat) runs on AI credits. Every plan includes a monthly allowance, and you can buy more.
Credits on each plan
| Plan | AI credits per month |
|---|---|
| Core | 100 |
| Connect | 500 |
| Grow | 2,000 |
| Pro | 5,000 |
- The allowance resets every month, on monthly and yearly billing alike. Unused credits from the allowance don't carry over.
- Flo and some AI features are on Grow and Pro only (see AI across ServFlo); credits on Core and Connect are for the AI features those plans have.
How credits are counted
A credit is a small, fixed amount of AI work. How many credits something uses depends on how much the AI reads and writes: a one-line review reply uses less than a long chat with Flo that looks through many records. Every AI action uses at least 1 credit. Some features tell you the cost up front, such as 1 credit per draft in the report writer, or an estimate before AI reads a standards document.
Before an AI action starts, ServFlo checks that you have enough credits for it, so you're never left with half a result.
What uses credits
| Feature | When it uses credits |
|---|---|
| Flo | Each answer and each step it takes |
| Service reports | Each AI draft, rewrite, summary, assistant note or template import |
| Website | Writing the website's draft |
| Review replies | Each Draft with AI |
| Campaigns and email designs | Each Draft with AI or Design with AI |
| AI call summaries | Each call summarized |
| AI receptionist | The AI's thinking during calls (its voice minutes are billed separately) |
| Website chat | Each AI reply |
| Imports | Suggest with AI for column mapping |
Using ServFlo from ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant doesn't use your AI credits for the assistant's own thinking: that runs on the assistant's side. Only ServFlo's own AI features it asks for (such as drafting a review reply) use credits, as they would in the app.
When credits run out
Credits are a hard limit: AI pauses until you buy credits or the month resets.
- Flo tells you it's out of credits.
- Drafts (website, review replies, campaigns) fall back to a template you can edit.
- Website chat hands new chats to your team ("Out of AI credits: the team answers").
- The report writer says You're out of AI credits this month.
- Over the API, AI actions answer
402 PLAN_LIMIT_REACHED.
Settings → Billing shows the credits used this month and says when AI is paused.

Buy more credits
Owners and admins can buy credit packs in Settings → Billing, under Buy AI credits:
| Pack | Price |
|---|---|
| 1,000 credits | $10 |
| 5,000 credits | $45 |
| 20,000 credits | $160 |
- Bought credits last a year and are used only after your monthly allowance runs out.
- The owner can click Set up automatic top-ups to buy a pack automatically when credits run low.
Buying credits is always done by a person in ServFlo. An API key or AI assistant can read your plan and credits but can't buy them.
During the free trial
- Without a card on file, a trial can use 25 AI credits in all, enough to try things out.
- With a card on file, a trial gets the Grow plan's 2,000 credits. Nothing is charged until the trial ends.
