Assign technicians and service types to units
Give technicians a home unit and other units they work for, and give service types a default unit for new jobs.
Technicians
Open Technicians
In the left menu, click Team → Technicians.
Open their units
On a technician's row, click Business units for their name. (This only appears once you have a unit.)
Choose units
Pick their Home unit: new jobs assigned to them default to it when the service type names no unit. Under Also works for, tick any other units. The dispatch board and booking only offer them for work of these units.
Save
Click Save.
A technician with no units at all is a generalist: they can be booked for any unit, and their hours count towards every unit's capacity.
Service types
Go to Settings → Service types, open a service type and choose its Business unit. New jobs of this service default to that unit.
Changing a service type's or technician's unit doesn't move existing jobs; it only affects new ones.
Set up business units
Add business units and branches, with their own branding, default tax rate, online booking limits and accounting mapping.
Units on jobs, quotes and invoices
How jobs, quotes, invoices, memberships and requests get their business unit, how to change it, and where units show in lists and reports.
