Retire or delete a unit

Stop using a business unit for new work while keeping its history, or delete one that was never used.

A unit that already has jobs, quotes, invoices or other records can't be deleted. Retire it instead: its history and report filters keep working, but it can't be chosen for new work.

Go to Settings → Business units.
Open the unit's Actions menu and click Retire. Click Reactivate to bring it back.

To delete a unit that was never used, choose Delete in the same menu and confirm with Delete unit. Its service types and technicians lose it as their default.

You can retire or delete a unit on any plan.
