Dumpster rentals
Customer orders and the portal
Let customers order a dumpster online, by phone or in your website chat, ask for a pickup or swap, and get reminders.
Orders from customers
Customers can order a dumpster themselves in three places:
- Your booking page: they pick the drop-off and pickup days, see the sizes that are free with their prices, and order. Online booking must be turned on.
- The AI receptionist on the phone: it checks which sizes are free, reads back the order and books it after the caller says yes. It says prices only if your receptionist settings allow it.
- Your website chat: the AI checks and books the same way, but never gives prices.
Only sizes with Customers can order it turned on are offered, and a customer can never book a size that isn't free. Each order goes straight onto your schedule, a new customer is created if needed, and you get a notification to confirm the drop-off.
The customer portal
A customer signed in to your portal sees their dumpster: the size, the drop-off day, the days so far and the days included. While it's on site they can tap:
- Request pickup: when it's full or they're done.
- Request swap: when they need an empty one.
You get a notification. The request shows on the rental until you book the stop.
Reminders
Two reminders are ready in Automations. Turn them on if you want them:
- Dumpster drop-off tomorrow: a text and email the afternoon before the drop-off, asking to keep the spot clear.
- Dumpster rental ending soon: a text and email two days before the planned pickup, so the customer can ask for more time or an early pickup.
These reminders text and email your customers once turned on.
