Likely replacements
Find equipment near the end of its life and turn it into replacement quotes.
The Likely replacements list shows equipment that is likely to need replacing soon, based on its age against its expected lifespan, recent repairs and their cost, condition, notes about trouble, warranty and, for air conditioning, old R-22 refrigerant.
Filter it
- Likelihood: 35% or more (the default), 60% or more, or Any.
- Equipment type and Minimum age (years).
- Members only.
Follow up
Select rows and click Create quotes. Each customer gets a draft quote with an empty "Replacement" option for you to price. Nothing is sent to the customer.
Set your equipment lifespans
Replacement predictions compare each unit's age with the expected lifespan of its type, starting from industry figures (for example 15 years for an air conditioner, 20 for a furnace, 10 for a water heater).
- On the Likely replacements tab, click Lifespans.
- Enter Your years next to any type you want to change, or Reset it to the typical figure.
- Click Save. Insights are recomputed with the new figures.
You can also set an Expected lifespan (years) on a single piece of equipment.
Predictions are only as good as the equipment details. Record the Equipment type, Install year (from the data plate), Refrigerant and Condition on each unit.
